About the event
On Wednesday September 4, the Student Guild will be running a ‘Preparation for Placement’ workshop for students at USC Gympie Campus. The workshop will run from 9:30am to 11:00am and will include lunch for participants. The workshop will have a maximum of 10 participants, and will be run by Donna Cahill, Student Guild Welfare and Advocacy Officer, who is an accredited financial literacy facilitator. Assisting Donna will be a familiar face for Gympie Students, Student Support Officer, Sally Tsai.
The workshop incorporates financial literacy and money management, debt reduction strategies and goals, meal planning, self-care strategies, USC placement policies and procedures, what to do if your placement goes pear-shaped, and information on the services offered by the USC Student Guild. Lunch will be provided at the event. At the end of the workshop, each participant will receive a take-home placement survival kit, related to the areas covered in the workshop.
